Thanks, exactly my reaction when I first installed it. The plastic has a mirrored coating that I'm sure will make it impossible to read in the sun but it does look nice in low light.
Not sure if you'll ever see them on the site. Last time I tried to source the plastic, I found it was not in production yet and it was going to be very expensive. In addition, the only thickness available at the time was 1/8" which requires a two piece lens. Cyro was kind enough to send me a small sample which was promptly cut into two lenses, one to fit the NewFace lens and another for the old fascia.
The color shifts at any change in viewing angle. Up, down, left, right, and positions in between. At the most extreme viewing angles, it appears green and colrs shift through G - Y - V - B where blue is visible at a 90 degree viewing angle.
Color shifting fascia? A quick shot of paint could do it http://www.colorshift.com/index.php?s=galleries but I think I like the chrome on the NewFace better. I'm not sure how the plastic is done or if it's similar to the credit card holograms. I've got a small piece of the plastic that I'm going to cut up for button caps so I should be able to tell pretty quick if it's a film or embedded.
