Re: One Button Shuffle.... Again. ;) - Macros - 24/04/2000 13:01

You know, this is just another facet of the request for "macro" availability in the UI. If we could make user-assignable macros and attach them to the number keys on the remote, we could do one-button shuffle on/off, quick equalizer selection, visual selection, and just about anything else. It seems to me (not knowing much, if anything, about how the UI is currently designed) that it would be easier to code-in macros than all these other little features so commonly requested.
So, Empeg team, can we expect macros anytime soon?
Everyone else, what else could we do with user-definable macros that I've left out? Any ideas?

Sounds good... assign defaults for keys 1-9 (or, as tfabris points out, 4-9), and let us change the defaults to whatever we want..

But still allow 1 and 4 to be changed for those of us who know which way our controllers are pointed. ;)

And how can hitting 1 and 4 make a difference anyway, the remote is pointed the opposite direction from the empeg and I've found that you pretty much have to have a direct line of sight between the controller/IR port for it to receive the commands.

Your logic is tough to refute, mister Jeep.
