CharcoalGray99 Web Interface with only Playlists..

As Mark Lord mentioned in this post, it would be possible to hack the Charcoalgrey web interface to ONLY show the playlists (and maybe keep harmless stuff like Web Links and the empeg logo) but remove the Remote, Display, FTP, Commands, Download, Stream and Insert links/buttons. I'd like to be able to show my playlists to someone online so that they could make requests during my show, but I don't want them to have full rein of my empeg.... I tried hacking that stuff out last night, but I'm not good enough with XML to know what I'm doing. Get beyond Notepad and basic HTML and I'm lost!

I havnt heard back from CharcoalGray, so I thought I'd ask here..

I'd like to have something like this too, but I would retain only the stream option and get rid of the other stuff. I use my Empeg at work and many of my co-workers have realized they can stream from my Empeg but I'm affraid that someone is going to F something up. Most often, someone who doesn;t know any better sees something they'd like to hear and clicks play instead of stream.

Keep in mind, that if one really wants to disable EVERYTHING except streaming, then this functionality is already built-into Hijack and the web interfaces.

I didn't see this anywhere in the Hijack menu if it's built-in? Also, I don't see anything in Charcoalgray's webinterface that I'm using that would allow me to disable all but the streaming. Is this something that is not a menu item in Hijack or the webinterface that needs to be controlled via a shell prompt?

To access the Hijack web interface without CharcoalGray's stuff, use this URL:
http://empeg_address/?fid=101&ext=.html

To prevent users from chaning things on the player, you do not use the Hijack menu, you use config.ini. Complete details of all the config.ini options are in the Hijack section of the FAQ.

You might want to start with options similar to this, and look through the FAQ for more:
