Here's an idea for a visualization...

Imaging yourself flying over a grid, with your speed, pitch, and bank all synched up to music. Bobbing and weaving along the grid landscape to your music...

(Here's the real wish part)
And if GPS is ever hard coded into the system, have your Empeg sense when you're turning, and your rate of turn, and apply that input to the visual. Turn left, bank left on screen. :)

Just imagining on a day where my empeg cradled car is sitting in some shop getting the Oxygen and MAF sensors messed with.

And you are not saying that people should stare the screen while driving, aren't you?

A simple gyroscope with sensors would also do the trick. a visual which would react to input from the serial would be sufficient though. This way you could also hook up the speedometer to the serial port and let the visual speed up as you accelerate...

With the gyros being more sensitive and timely with their readings then the GPS - imaging slamming on the brakes and having the music mute, stop, or display some sort of easter egg graphic.

SKidding to a stop, your empeg displays "Oh S**T - Learn how to drive!!"

Now we're getting silly. But imaginations are a good thing. And a device with display capabilities, and an industry standard I/O port on it makes for some amazing possibilities.

The "Flying" visualization, interactive or not, would be a cool one. :)

Yes the speedometer could also cause the volume to be increased as speed is increased. Cool!

no, you'd just have the display projected on the windscreen as some kind of HUD.

I think my grandmother had one of those, it was mounted to the top of the dash and also told your current direction, N, S, E, W as well as banking in the turns. If you saw an M it meant you were rolled over.

just say you weren't paying much attention...
