love to see lighted faceplate buttons one day

of course, we're talking MK3 here or something... but i guess i'm just planting the mental seed.

anyone else think that faceplate buttons would rock if they were lit?

On a related note, I was thinking about recasting the plastic buttons in metal to complete a metalic look on the unit. I can conceptually see how it is done but have never attempted it. Hopefully this is something not too hard that I can get to soon.

I have had an idea about lighted buttons how about a little cresent ) next to the buttons on the display so you have a rough aiming point at night this of course would be a switcable option from emplode and would only apear when the lights are on.

Not a perfect solution but once you have gudied your fingers to the buttons it is easy to work out which one is which

What about those neon(ish) wires sometimes used by case modders. They are sufficiently bright to light up a standard keyboard, should do for the empeg. You can bend them like you wish (being little more then a thin wire in thickness), cut them how you wish. Only problem would be powersupply, but if memory serves they run on 12 v, something that is extremely hard to find in a car.
