Soup view for Marked

Soup view for Marked - 20/10/2001 10:23

I would like to see a built-in Soup view called "Marked for Attention".

This way, people who mark tracks don't have to perform a search to see them.

Hmm, it saves only three mouseclicks (after the first search), but what the heck, why not!

Take it one step further - I think it would make sense for the marked files screen to pop up the next time you do a sync w/ empeg..

Thought I'd bring this back to the top. Saves me the time of starting a new thread.

I'd like to see what Tony requested as well as an equivalent soup view ON THE PLAYER (when the soup views are enabled).

Right now you can still sort on the marked column while viewing the tracks soup in emplode or do an advanced search for "marked" - there's currently no way to display your makred tracks on the player afaik.

Just to have this recorded for others, with jEmplode, you can setup an advanced search: marked = "yes" and save it. It will effectively make a new soup playlist under Searches that will contain the marked tracks.

If we get the "#fid+" and "#fid-" serial commands in the next beta (if we get a next beta..), then we can write a userland application to extend playlist management in any method we please.. (and yes, I'm thinking vertically here, too!
