speakerphone? - 29/12/2001 18:49

Not knowing how far in the future, if ever, VR will be available. Is it possible to set up a speakerphone for cell phones somehow? Some combination of use of microphone in, aux in and cell phone mute to automatically pause the music and bring the phone conversation onto the speakers?

I have made my own speakerphone myself.

I have 6110 Nokia.

I bought an Hand Free Kit.

I cutted the wire for the headspeaker.
Find the ground and the signal wire.
just put a Capacitor of (10NF, dont know exactly the seller gave me the capa) in serial with the signal line and connect an RCA jack and put it to the aux in of the empeg.

It works fine, but it is only mono sound.(right input for sound)
I plan to double the line with a jump for the 2 input of sound. It will make a kind of stereo sound.

I put it in my car dash so the mic of the hfkit is hidden, and when I have a call just switch to the aux source and you can still drive.

I'd like to install Perl for empeg but with no success at this time and dev a perl app with perl module for Gnokii : www.gnokii.org

Do you experience feedback problems with this setup?

Absolutely none !!!!!!

It works fine, and it so cheap.

Yes, i know this setup is not software managed but i am not King Kernel Mark.
I'd like to install prel but still no success.

If you want try it, i think there is no risk .

I f you want try this setup on your stereo, or DVD amplifier and then if it works fine put it in your car.
I plan to use it also at home with my audio video stuff ......

But i want to find a cradle (paddle) for my phone, and I could test it on my Linux Box before Empeg .
