Volume Level - 21/09/1999 14:08

Is it possible to make the player program 'remember' the volume with respect to the power source. I tend to listen to the empeg through my home system with it set to 0db and in my car at a much lower level.

I've notice that you have a status file in proc showing the current power source, but I have not had the chance to see if it changes while in the car. If it changes then it should be a simple matter to save the 'in-car' volume and 'home' volume somewhere.

Cheers
Steve

I double that !

I was already close to blowing my car speakers 2 times when i remembered that it is still set at 0 dB !
Then i had to walk back to my flat, only to set the volume down.
But as i didn't know that there is an indicator for the empeg to know wheter it is powered in the car or at home, i did not post it in the "Bugs" section, but with my new knowledge, i would definately put it there.
And it is a DANGEROUS Bug too ...

Please fix that.

It's been on the to-do list for a while, it will get implemented :)

Can't promise it in the next release, but hopefully the one after.

My AutoPC does a graduated volume increase on startup and after returning from mute. It allows just enough time to turn it down if needed.
