Bug / Hardware Problem with tuner on empeg #314

I have at least three frequencies where something is emitting strong (at least 3 bars, one with 5 bars on the display) Rf noise.
5 bars @ 96.00 MHz, 3 Bars @ 98.80 MHz, 101.60 MHz, 104.40 MHz, 107.30 MHz. The noise @ 96 MHz is at least 200KHz wide, as it
affects 95.90-96.10 MHz. And one of my favorite radio stations is @ 95.90 MHz...

as I'm writing this, theunit is sitting on my desk, without the car
mount, so there's no antenna at all...

I too get five bars at 96.0 (but strangely there is no audio at all). I can pick up Capital well with five bars at 95.8 though.
(this is with the unit sitting next to me on my desk with my finger against the aerial terminal, which tends to give me fairly good reception)
