Not playing a song?

ANyone ever notice that the empeg sometimes refuses to play the first track in a playlist? I have a playlist with 3 songs and I can't seem to get the empeg to play the first song no matter what I do. I finally selected it manually and the empeg went apeshit.

Never mind, I don't want that song anyway.

Empeg #249. In use for 5 days, in the shop for 3 weeks.

Did this track ever play back correctly on something like Winamp before it was loaded to the empeg?

The only times I have had trouble playing a RIPped track on the empeg, it turned out that the track was defective. I now RIP a track and then replay it once in Winamp to see that it's OK before downloading it.
