Is your AUX connected to anything? If not, it could just be pick-up from the proximity of the tracks on the pcb....

Question...

At what volume do you normally listen to the player at? For instance, if you really crank it and you're rocking out and the speakers are at about the maximum they can handle, what does the volume readout say on the empeg screen?

If, in that situation, it's low, for example it's lower than -10, then your problem is simply that you've got your amplifiers turned up too high. Turn the amps down to the proper levels and you most likely won't hear any sort of electronic interference, tuner or otherwise.

The issue is, if the aux in is not connected to anything it's prone to pick up noise - this is due to the floating ground design to prevent ground loops on the inputs.

Okay, then that's not what I was thinking then.

Hugo, If you put a resister across the inputs would this solve the crosstalk problem?

You'd probably have to tie ground and signal of the aux input to ground.

IMHO though, this is not a problem with the hardware. Any input not connected to anything is sort-of irrelevant, as you wouldn't generally be listening to it anyway.

I'm looking into fixing the AUX-in leads somewhere on the sled, thus connecting ground and RCA shell together. This way it surely won't cause any 'problems' when not used. Now the leads just hang in free air and can possibly hit anything you just would not like them to do so...
Is connecting the shells of all 6 RCA plugs together a bad thing?

No, it should be fine.

Like the old doctor gag, if it bothers you then don't listen to it, unless noise is favored by you.
