hijack bug - 28/03/2002 11:51

not sure if hjack bugs should go in this end or not but hey.
i currently use hijack's timeout feature as a ghetto alarm clock. i set it to toggle standby and set the time and then put my empeg in standby. it comes out of standby fine, but in doing so turns down the volume a couple of notches. hijack... 249 i believe, 2.0b11

1. Hijack bugs should probably be in the Programming forum, but no biggie.
2. Not sure if you're aware or not, but I wrote an alarm clock which uses Hijack and allows you to set the specific time to be woken up rather than setting a countdown. I don't think it suffers from this volume "feature" you're describing, but if you're interested in an alarm clock, you might want to check it out. It's still beta and I'm adding fixes/features as people give me feedback. Just wanted to let you know it's there since you're looking to use your Empeg as an alarm clock.

I just want to check that you're not using the new volboost feature. I can't immediately see how that could affect what you're doing, but there's always the possibility I overlooked something.

im not familiar with a new volboost option. i have the volume adjust in hijack set to medium.

In that case, it shouldn't be my fault

One notch, not a couple.

Fixed in v252, I think.
