Wasn't XP the one where they didn't ship it with a Java runtime engine?

Anyway, to get Jemplode working well on my Windows box, I had to install the Sun JRE and use it just for Jemplode. But in order to run certain other web-based Java stuff from within IE, I have to use the Microsoft JRE. Someone here on the BBS showed me that there's an advanced option in IE to deselect the Sun JRE for IE.

Anyway, so I installed the Sun JRE, then I deselected it in the IE advanced options, and now Jemplode works great and all web-based Java stuff works great in IE.
