I have a Rio Receiver here, and yes, the display is barely readable. But it works well enough, even with the frustrating "stock" software loaded.

I may hack a server into Hijack for it shortly, so it can slave off of a docked Empeg. I'm thinking of replacing the Receiver's kernel with one that uses FTPFS instead of NFS for accessing the .arf data, so that it can "just work" with the Hijack FTP server -- no new code for that part.

The music database stuff sounds like it can just be done as an "on the fly" filter of the Empeg "database" file via the existing Hijack HTTP server, so not much new code needed there either.
