You'd have to run it via an applet viewer (see http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/tooldocs/windows/appletviewer.html ). This comes as part of the java SDK and isn't included in the JRE install.

I think the command you'd use is something like:

appletviewer http://xxxxx:8090/trio-applet.htm
