Since most everyone hears sounds differently,how will the software know what to adjust the EQ too?

Will it just adjust it to a flat response?

Also, will it have some limit so as not to adjust a freq too much?For instance if you dont have a subwoofer hooked up it will it still try to adjust the 40hz band to reach the required response.And the same goes for the high end,if you just have stock"full range" speakers with no tweeters,will it try raising the 12.5khz band to reach its limit.
