Which is the most recent version of player software 2.0 that had a working "seek to next strongest station" feature for the radio?

No amount of IR translation seems to be able to make this work in 2.0 final. On my player, I *thought* the IR translation made it work, but in reality it just advances the frequency by 0.6 Mhz for each longpress.

So if someone (not me) were going on a long trip and wanted to be able to seek stations as he drove into a new area, what version would he have to downgrade to?
