Night time photography is something I am really interestd in, but I am having problems, even with a tripod getting the images as sharp as that, what is your secret?

The "secret" is long exposure at small aperture to get depth of field.

This shot was about a 10-second exposure, probably around f8, with the camera sitting on a rock wall with the lens propped into position with a few pebbles. Then I used the camera's self-timer to actually trigger the exposure, as physically pressing the shitter release button would have introduced vibration.

Somewhat to my surprise, I guessed right on the exposure on only the third attempt.
