Lots of new Apple goodies announced today. Of note is a fourth generation of the standard sized iPad and the fact that Apple kept the iPad 2 as the mid-level model. That means that current owners of 3rd gen iPad shouldn't feel terribly about potential devaluing of their toys. The bad news is that if you want to pick up an older iPad, you're not likely to find any amazing prices or fire sales.
