The SIM cutters have been around for a while, but what really stuns me is the cutters for the nano SIMs that the iPhone uses. Apparently you can cut down a micro SIM to a nano SIM, which seems crazy because at that point you're actually snipping off some of the contact portion.
Been there, done that at work, using the template and a good pair of scissors. The actual chip is
smaller than the metal contacts, all under the center contact and bonds from the chip to the inner parts of the surrounding contacts.
