While working in an Excel spreadsheet, suddenly my mouse cursor (Microsoft wireless) started moving down instead of up and vice versa when I moved the mouse.

I have rebooted to no effect. I have no options (at least that I can find) in Windows setup that would affect this.

How can I make my mouse work properly again?

Never mind. I "rebooted" the mouse by removing the batteries and waiting 10 seconds and re-inserting them. Now all is right with the world.
