I think you have to pay a yearly fee of $40 or something.

I think it's more like $120--$180 a year ($10--$15 a month).

But why would anyone want to pay money for the "privilege" of listening to some program director's idea of what is good music when all of the music that you really like (and even better, none of the music that you don't like) is already sitting there in your empeg, just a button push away?

I have had my empeg for more than a year now... and since the day it went into my car, I have not listened to the radio. I certainly would not pay money in order to do so.

But, that said, I do tend to march to the beat of a different drummer, and no doubt other people, smarter than I am, would disagree with my outlook.
