True, it isn't very secure. But keep in mind, the only reason they keep those menus hidden is for the protection of the end user, not the protection of themselves. Absolutely the only thing I could accomplish by accessing those hidden menus without qualified assistance is to damage my own data. And that would be my problem, not theirs. There are no "secrets" or enhanced capabilities or anything like that in those menus, just things too "dangerous" for unqualified users to be given access.
