Let me tell you: when hooked to my home stereo (not a very fine one), Beethoven's Ninth Symphony directed by Karajan (yes , one of those Karajan Gold collections) encoded at 256 kbps sound pretty good. My Peugeot install will be a tough one. Have you guys heard of multiplexed data buses? it makes everything much more difficult... still, I don't miss my Golf. The 307 is such a good car...
