To start, I did read the FAQ on ground loop problems, but the troubleshooting guide it points to suggested using the factory ground connections, which I am dong.

Here is basically my setup
EMPEG --> CDR220 --> AudioControl EQX --> a/d/s amp
The empeg power connections are tapped into the factory wiring for an option cell phone. (12v+, 12v switched, ground).

Here's my problem:
When I first installed my Empeg, I disconnected the factory radio's RCA outputs and instead used the Empeg. It was the only music source and things were great, no noise, just clear music.

Last week, i got the parts that allow me to use the AUX input on the boxster's factory radio. Hooked it all up and it works for sound ok, but not when listening to the empeg.

When playing the empeg thorugh the AUX input, I get horrible engine noise whine. I tried adjusting the Empegs output volume, but that did no good.

Has anyone else run into this issue? I did a search but couldn't find specific details on how to fix it.
