Found this oldie doing a search. A different twist could be emulating the way some (all?) sony tuners work while using the next preset button. personally, i can't stand banks but the one thing I did like about the sony was that it had 2 sets (A & B) of 10 presets for FM and 1 set of ten prestes for AM. The difference here was that once you reached the tenth preset in A, it would automatically switch to set B and so on. Switching to AM was done maually though. I prefer alpines but this is the one and only feature I really liked about the sony.
The only other thing I would suggest in conjunction with this is the ability to select how many presets you actually want available. In my listening area for example, there are only 12 stations I listen to so an extra 18 presets are useless to me.
