Hello,

What I think would be really cool to do when you hold down the Dial button (which right now toggles INFO display, duplicating the feature on the down button) would be to enter a "Visualization" select mode where you can spin the dial left and right and cycle through all the visuals. Then when you find the visual you want, you can just push the dial again to select it.

This way you have no more tedious menu-hopping to find the visual you want, plus since you can get to point A to point B very quickly using the dial, it would be VERY easy to get to the visual you want, rather than having to push DNPP (or whatever button it is on the controller which I rarely use) to cycle one way through the visuals.

Questions? Comments?

You might conflict with the people that want the pushed-dial to be the loudness/trebble/bass controls...

hold down the Dial button (to) enter a "Visualization" select
Clever !

duplicating the feature on the down button
Didn't know that. Thanks for telling - just as simple as holding the Dial button; no need to have this replicated.

And again, we wouldn't need those endless dicussions what to do with what knob, if it would be user configurable, at least with editing an ugly *.ini file or something :-(

Something like a shuffle through the visuals would be nice, too.

mmm.

We have had this before. I'm bad at this link thing so here it is.

Other than a programmable button set or 'soft buttons' or 'customisable interface' a simpler implemetation (therefore sooner ;-) would be the basic controls scrolled thru after a press of the dial. volume, bass, treble, pan, fader, visual, info type, .... Naturally with such a long list the order and even the inclusion of some items would be better to be customisable but that would be in the future.
