Hello All,

One of my button LED from Brian's kit has failed. I am assuming it is a cold solder joint or something else that I did. But before I begin troubleshooting, I wanted to make sure there was no problem with the LED itself, so has anyone else seen one of these puppy's burn out? (they can burn out if the current set by the resistor is too high).

Thanks
-Ted

Apart from burning a LED out with too much current or a mechanical failure (leads breaking etc), LEDs are very very very reliable. In fact I don't think I have ever seen a LED just die or wear out.

I'd guess a dry joint too. Should be pretty easy to check - just pull the face off.
