Well thank god the empeg was not running but I must have overloaded one of my circuits. I flipped the tripped breaker back on and everything started to work again. Except this AIWA stereo receiver. Everything works on it except the main display. Is it possible just an internal fuse blew or is the whole display toasted? Any advice much appreciated.

Unfortunately, there is likely not a fuse for the display alone. Your best bet is to take it in and have it serviced. Sorry man. You might be surprised by how cheap the repair is. A similar issue was repaired on my Onkyo for ~$150.
