Why are Paypal CS so f*****g cryptic in their emails?

All I want to know is... can a US buyer pay me in pounds sterling?

Also have I got this right... for me to cover my fees, I have to charge the buyer 3.4% AND an additional .5% for the cross border charge in Sterling?

Being a card carrying member of the anti-paypal lobby, I have just chime in here with: paypal sucks. Though it is highly convenient, the company just isn't trustworthy. I of course will be no help in ansewring your question, nor will i even sugest an alternative.

(1) Yes, they can pay you in Pounds Sterling, PROVIDED you have created a balance (zero or otherwise) in that currency on your paypal account.

(2) I *think* you've got the fees mostly nailed, plus the per-transaction ding to actually withdraw funds to your bank account.

Cheers
