same here, then when i went to actualy check out it told me on the very last screen that the coupon was no longer valid.

I can't get it to work. Could it be that SB coupons don't work if your account was set up as "Home/Home Office customer"?

Turns out that wasn't the problem; the 20%-off coupon specifically excludes whole categories, one of which is all MP3 players (and another of which is digital cameras, FYI). The only way I learned this is by entering the coupon through "My Account"and then looking at its "details" from there (i.e., not the generic details link in my cart).

Not a total loss: I picked up a Palm Tungsten T3 for $319.

That's $110 less than retail. This player's price is dropping tremendously fast considering that it was just released. DNNA must have realized right from the get go that they were overpriced, hence the immediate $20 rebate. Now I'm seeing the Karma from retailers such as Target for $349. For those that don't know, Target is a discount merchandise retailer found just about everywhere in the US.

No, no. Finding stuff online cheaper than "retail" is just part of life. And Target isn't really a "discount" store. They don't have a wide selection of electronics, but they are hardly an outlet store. The have iPods too, does that mean Apple is pulling the plug on the iPod?

You people need to relax, this thing hasn't even finished hitting the market yet. Wait until after the holidays to see how the product and market fares.

All I'm suggesting is that the Karma's suggested retail price looks to be coming down. Not sure if this is a corporate thing or just a result of market pressure by the retailers. If this keeps up, all of us will have Karmas for Christmas and our gift-givers will only be out $200, ah, one can hope.

TechTV notes that the Karma MSRP is $50 less than the iPod, which I guess suggests that the new MSRP at the moment is $349. Rioaudio.com doesn't reflect that statement, however... they still list it as $399. Odd.
