In case anyone was unaware, we have all electronic pieces for illumination of the knob AND buttons. More information is available at: http://www.eutronix.com/illum_kit.htm and can be ordered at: http://www.eutronix.com/order for $44.99 plus shipping.

These have soldermasked and silkscreened PCBs to better integrate with the rest of the Empeg's electronics as well as additional clearance for the VFD fill nipple.

Hey Stu;

I've been thinking buying one of your LED kits and shipping my baby to you to get it installed.

I'm also having issues with the rotary encoder on my MKIIa (part# EC11E15244C0 or EC11E15244B2 per your post. ) Would you be willing to provide that service as well?

It would be sweet if I could get both things taken care of with minimal down-time.

We are now offering ultraviolet LED kits as well. Price is the same as the white kits at $44.99.

As I just placed an order, how would you describe the differences for "normal" buttons as there are not UV reactive buttons (yet?)?

Thanks for the order. Well the LEDs light up a sort of purplish pink color. For normal buttons I would imagine you won't see much of anything unless you use blue in which case you will get a deep purplish blue lighting effect. You can play around with various phosphorescent paints inside of the OEM buttons with holes if you wish. It's really just for tinkerers right now.

Ok cool... As I have no buttons yet, it doesn't matter much, but you always want to plan for the future... Since my future is looking like a new car (I'm thinking A6) colors and style will probably change.

Just a couple of things on the UV LEDs.

These are UV which means you cannot look at them with a naked eye. I've got button caps on all of mine and a filter over the knob leds. I still get freaked out from them.

That being said I like them alot.

I'm still "tinkering" with them but I'm completely happy with the way they look and will likely have them installed on my backup player.

Many thanks to Stu for tracking these down.

Hi.

Is it possible to just get the knob board with its components.

My empeg for some reason already has the resistor pack from new and i know i have a bag of the correct button leds some where so don't need them either.

C.

I'd contact one of the button illumination kit suppliers about just getting the components that you need. Eutronix has been great to work with for me. Brian(bmihulka) also has the illumination kits which others have used successfully.
