Anybody else played the Galactic Conquest mod yet? It's only v0.32 alpha at the moment but is surprisingly playable. X-wings, tie-fighters, those weird bike things - all the good stuff is there. (And watch out for that sand monster in the Tatooine level - I sped right into it )

I thoroughly recommend checking it out. The homepage downloads section is currently limited to UK only, but you can get it from FilePlanet. (www.bugmenot.com if you don't want to register)

Sounds cool. The Desert Combat mod is amazing! I've heard of a GIJoe one that sounds fun too.

Check out Forgotten Hope for a great mod of the later WWII years.

I first downloaded that to play their Omaha Beach on the anniversary of D-Day. It is such a better map than the EA version of Omaha. One time I'm chasing a guy in the area that is full of bomb craters, run out of ammo with my machine gun so I switch to my pistol. That runs out of ammo, then we both proceed in a 20 second knife fight in the bottom of a crater until I finally emerge victorious. It was great.

I get so lost on Wake with the new layout. It's like you come back from R&R and the island has been hit by flame throwers and bulldozers!!! I haven't played the Omaha map yet, but I hear it rocks. I wish more players were willing to knife fight, nothing beats a good knife fight with "Beat It" playing in the background...
I hear the development for Desert Combat is pretty much done probably one last release. I think I played that to the point that I now hate it... But DC Lost Village still rocks! Bring on the Blackhawks!
