Is there anyway to stream music that I have on my computer hard drive to my empeg.

I have my empeg hooked up in the living room, and have all of my music stored on my pc in my room. I was wondering if the empeg could stream music from my pc.

I think what you want is either a Rio Receiver or the Receiver Edition firmware (alpha release) for the Empeg.

One warning about the receiver edition, it only plays streamed music. You then have to revert to normal software to play the music on your empeg again. There was talk about having a hijack option to swap player binaries, but I'm not sure how that work is going.

Also, so far I have only gotten the empeg to talk to the official Receiver software. I wish I could get it to work with other software capable of working with the large music collection I have.
