Microsoft is currently in the process of creating web-based Windows Live and Office Live in an attempt to reduce the success and ad revenue that Google is currently experiencing.

I decided to check out the live preview of Windows Live to see what Microsoft is cooking up. Interestingly, Firefox users are welcomed with the following message:

Quote:
Firefox Users: Firefox support is coming soon. Please be patient :-)

In my opinion, Microsoft has a long way to go before they begin replacing Google as my web overlord of choice.

I played around with it a bit in IE earlier. I'll still be keeping Firefox and Google Home Page. Though I did notice one interesting thing using Safari. It gave me only the search box and nothing else. Doing a search worked, and also gave me an RSS option to bookmark the save result in RSS form.

Ironicially, I was at Live.com about a month ago downloading openRTSP, to try and capture an RTSP stream. Unfortunatly it didn't work, and now all the links to support on that product go to live.com still.
