burdell1 old hand Registered: 14/01/2002 Posts: 931 Loc: Minnetonka, MN	I have a MKII empeg with 2 hard drives. I lately have been getting the dreaded "No Hard Drive Found" error (which I thought might be caused by a loose IDE cable connection. However, today after my empeg wouldn't boot up at all i got worried so I took it apart. It doesn't seem that the hard drives are spinning at all. I didn't see anything in the FAQ about hard drives not spinning, but i might have missed it. Any suggestions on what might cause it? Edited by burdell1 (03/03/2007 13:46)

AndrewT old hand Registered: 16/02/2002 Posts: 867 Loc: Oxford, UK	Because the empeg's hard drive is powered through the IDE cable, a regular connection problem has the potential to deny the hard drive its power. Check here for the IDE cable pinouts.
