Anyone have a 303 fascia that could possibly measure it for me and send detailed dimensions? I'd like to create one very similar but neet dimensions 1st. Need exact hole size and location for buttons etc.

Any help appreciated. I really want to get this done within the next 2 months while we are slow around the holidays.

Thanks in advance...

I can tell you the size of the NewFace button holes must be larger than 6.5mm across. That's the diameter of the Multimec button caps intended for the fascia.

Maybe webroach has the measurements from his previous effort.

Thanks for the information. I may just have to do this the harder way since nobody can help a man out. Ah well.

To be fair it is only 4 days since you asked the question, not everyone checks the bbs that often. You may still get an answer from someone who has the information you need.

Oh I know. I'm just anixous to get going on it. Lots of downtime in our business around holidays. It would just be easier on me if someone could've provided the dimensions.

Just FYI - I don't have a 303 face frown

Can't you use a standard face - or don't you have one? If not then I'd be happy to measure my spare standard face for you.

well i was looking to make a duplicate of the 303 design which i liked. so the holes and stuff are different size than the standard. not too bad to figure out but much easier if you have one already....

Been reading the board very sporadically and just stumbled into this
thread. I've got a 303 face - what measurements are you looking for? Or maybe I'll just whip up a crude pic and add basic measurements and then you can specifically ask for any more measurements you need.

I'll go look for the allen key...

Perhaps the best thing might be: if you have a flatbed scanner, just scan the 303 face at 300dpi and make the image available to him.

Cheers

Heh.. I finally got tired of looking for my sole 2.5mm allen key here, and went out to the local hardware shop and purchased two more for $0.35/each.

Cheers

smile Nooo, Im pretty sure those are bigger than the one needed for the face... Maybe if IKEA got into doll furniture?

Actually have 6 or 7 IKEA allen keys lying at the rear of a drawer in the living room bookshelf. (Not that long since purchased and assembled) And a fistful in the kitchen junk drawer.

Some of their stuff is very well designed and made (though often you go to buy the same thing next year to find it has been redesigned subtly to reduce costs and is no longer any good). Some of the stuff is utter crap of course.

True enough. It's not the designs I don't like, so much as it is that nearly everything is made from veneered particle board that chips if you even so much as look at it sideways. The pieces that are made using plywood or solid wood are still pretty reasonable, but they're becoming more and more rare.

I found a solution to that with my cheap computer desk/hutch thing. I just put a coat of clear Varathane on the desktop surface and it has lasted many years.
