Wow, long time no post on here!

My Empeg is still going strong (although it could do with a new encoder at some point...), but my sled is looking a little the worse for wear.

I need a decent number of the small connector pins (Digikey H10087-ND), and possibly the connector block itself (Digikey H10109-ND).

However, Digikey seem to want some rather optimistic prices for the UK (50 pence per pin, plus 12 quid shipping!). Does anyone know a UK supplier that sells these parts? I've checked RS and Farnell and not found them, but could well imagine I've missed them.

Alternatively, if someone has some sitting around in a drawer somewhere they wouldn't mind putting in an envelope and posting to me for a reasonable price, that would be awesome. Or indeed I'd happily buy an entire sled harness wiring loom, or even an entire sled, at market rate, if someone has one!

Cheers!

I've definitely got some of both back home in Australia. I'm in China until April though. I'd have to check and see what I paid for them but I'm pretty certain it wouldn't be that much ...

Can you wait until then?

OK. Looks like a set of plug + pins was going for A$22 + A$5 to ship it.

I can't find it anywhere on the site, but I can't help thinking that when this subject came up before RS could supply them in the UK. They come from a company called Hirose who, if they aren't a UK Company certainly have a substantial presence here.
RS list 375 of their products, the connectors might be amongst them and cheaper: Worth a look?

I had a look in the RS online catalogue and couldn't find anything that matched the Digikey parts, I will take another look though! Thanks!

If not I will PM Shonky in April smile

You could always try contacting the manufacturer and seeing whether they can recommend a supplier, or supply direct: They're in Milton Keynes - [email protected] <[email protected]>

Years ago Shonky did a bulk buy of the connectors and pins. I remember looking for them in RS as well and had no luck.

He did more than that...he assembled them into beautifully finished harnesses with each cable labeled. I had two at one time. They were nice because they didn't have any of the radio connectors, so they took up less space in the dash.
