I can't believe I finally got it! I posted a bunch on the "ordered?" thread.. ordered it 1/28 (tuesday). Shipped via fedex 3-4 day saver. I called sonicblue thursday, when they told me they wouldn't be shipping until this week.. which is BS because many people here ordered monday/tuesday and got theirs via 2day on friday or saturday.

My status on the sonicblue web site is still "has product ready for shipping" so I was gonna call to yell today, talk to a manager, tell them that I know they're shipping products, and demand that it ship soon and via 2day.. (I never do this kind of thing, but I was so anxious). Imagine my surprise when the damn thing showed up today! it rocks! OK, I have WAY too much work to do today to play with it, I'm pissed.. but.. I have it!

good luck to the rest of you.. and don't despair if it says "has product ready for shipping" .. it may be on your doorstep!

I got impatient, and bought one of ebay on Sunday, and sure enough the one I ordered last monday showed up today.... Fortunatly I only paid $440 for a 30 gig unit on ebay. I guess I'll see if someone wants to buy one of my units for what Sonic Blue is selling them for.

Checked again and it appears that my package arrived in Oakland, Ca on 2-2 at 10:45, left 2-2 at 14:43 and then arrived again that day at 10:45... aparently they have invented a time machine and are using my riocar as a test device.

Yea, your paperwork and the device travel seperately and if either one is scanned it shows up in the log... Don't panic...

I'm hoping it found it's way onto a truck or plane heading east and when I check in the morning it will be magically in Chicago driving towards my house...

then reality will set in and it'll still be in oakland being used as a poker table for a group of workers at the fedex sorting plant

Believe me, it will be a glorious day when you go to that site and read "Placed on a FedEx van in (insert hometown)." Mine arrived a few hours after it was placed on the van.

congrats! Glad it found it's way out of Oakland. Those penguins have a keen sense of direction.

As a side note, my empeg that arrived yesterday still says has product pending shipping on the sonicblue site.. and I haven't been billed yet.. time to cancel my order?
