For my double-DIN install, I wanted the head unit on top for reachability during all those times I didn't have the Empeg in the car, but it was just too ugly given the way the bezel curved and the Empeg stuck out. Pimpbot new poster Registered: 27/12/2001 Posts: 21	Having the Pioneer head unit on top makes it easier for me to mess around with the volume, radio stations, and what not. It also helps to have the empeg on the bottom since there is no room for wires in the dash. We had to do some modification to the inside of the car to hold all the empeg sled connections.
