Anyone have a source that can provide as a cheap outlet for me to get a Garmin GPS 16 or 35 OEM style receiver? Currently the cheapest I've found them for is $177, and $199 respectively.

Looking forward to seeing some applications on the Empeg for this. BTW, anything ever happen with that source for good GPS maps for cheap? Hopefully once that happens, Kim can release something quite useful to us all.

Maybe.... here.

But who knows where the price will finally end up.

Hi,

Those OEM sensors are not sold by all stores, but you might try and write the nice guy at http://www.tvnav.com for further information.
The site is very simple (no fancy effects) but fast and effective ... and the prices and service about the best I've found so far. I bought there my GPS eMap and all the accessories.
You might give it a try,

Alberto
