We are about to place an ad in a UK-based magazine. We do not have an office in the UK, so the phone number on the ad is our US one. Would printing the number as 011 1 845-947-3034 be appropriate? Thanks.

011 is the US specific code to tell the exchange you want to make an international call. I guess 00 is the UK equivilent.

If you're marketing to a technical prospect base, then the canonical format of (+1) 845 947 3034 should be understood/interpreted correctly.
