Yahoo offers some service whereby if I agree to their "Yahoo Delivers" program, I can use Outlook (or anything) to access my Yahoo account. Basically, with Yahoo Delivers, I am agreeing to get ads sent to my address. My Yahoo address is blessed by not getting much spam (I've been smarter about where I post it and followed the (at) instead of @ thing) and I'm afraid to do this and have that ruined. Has anyone signed up for this? As I'm writing this, I am being less and less tempted....

Sounds like you are correct to be skeptical. I know I wouldn't do it if I were faced with the same choice.

Well, if you sign up, it won't work in a month or so anyhow, as Yahoo is moving to a pay for POP access model here soon.

It worked for a friend of mine, and he didn't see anything noticible beyond the crap he already got. Though he hasn't been overly careful to prevent the address from being spammed.
