I enjoyed the meeting last year in March, and wondered 2 things.

1) Is anyone planning one already for this year?

2) If not, is anyone interested in attending such a meeting? Hopefully it can coincide with a SonicBlue meeting so the UK chaps can attend again.

Cheers,
Richard

Ya, I Was Thinking The Same thing.. I Wanted To Get One Together, meet some of the folk on here.. Lets see what we can do, or if anyone really wants to do it.

I'm in CA the week after next, so I'll check then if there is going to be a general engineering meeting anytime around March. If so, we could coincide with that and probably get a few people from empeg to the meet.

I'd be up for a meet. I'm up here in Santa Rosa (50mi north of S.F.)

I'm game - went last year, think I was the only non-empeg owner to go (of course, that has been remedied by my recently acquired 60GB unit)

There were a few others there last year who didn't own an empeg either, you wern't the only one

If we can get this planned soon, I can probably make it again this year. The same place wouldn't be bad either, I rather liked the surroundings. Once Rob gets a date on when he and some of the other empeg people will be over here, can someone near Woodside call the place we went and see if they wouldn't mind hosting again?

I'd be interested as well.

I am in Los Angeles... not too bad of a drive.

I stopped by yesterday on my way home. They wouldn't mind hosting again; they're always up for that sort of thing. You won't see too many VC-types and dot-commers hanging around anymore.

I didn't attend last year, but count me in for next time.

Guess you'd have to stop by the bus station or the homeless shelter instead to find those guys...

It looks like it's going to be held at the same place as last years event, and it was in Woodside, CA. It's a nice area near the bay area/silicon valley. Hopefully Rob will know some dates here soon so we can hammer out final details.

NO joke! I just TODAY caught up to the point of having no category showing a new post on the main index since the holidays. Phew... my eyes hurt... and my productivity is down. =] This BBS is becoming a full time job.

I don't know how you do it Loren - I pick and choose the threads I want to read, but cannot find the time to even read all of those!

I was just subscribing to the daily email digest, but it's hard to respond to that!

I think we're going to have a busy little meet this time

Cheers,
Richard

So any more news on the potential for a meet in CA later this year?

Am I organising it?

Cheers,
Richard

Will there be beets & meat on bread of wheat and milk from a teet when we take our seat at the neat meet where we meet to meet & greet the elite? Now that's a feat.

It seems we don't have scheduled engineering meetings any more, which basically means when we do have a meeting I'll find out about it a week before. Therefore I can't really help with setting the date for the next meet.

If anyone from empeg can get there we will, but don't count on it. I'm sure Tony will go though, and he practically works for empeg doesn't he?

Thats too bad to hear. Are there any other conventions (like the MP3 summit?) that we could work this around? I'd hate to plan this out, and drive 1500 miles to arrive at an event with 5 others. Although, if it's held around E3 time in May, I'll already be in the area.
