I don't have my player yet, should be here on Wed., but am trying to get my music all tagged and organized before it gets here. Right now, all my music is one bid directory on my h/d. From what I've read, the best way to have it organized is in folders by artist. Is this correct?

Also, I am installing it in a 95 Jeep YJ and don't want to lose my cdplayer/radio since I can't afford the tuner module right now. Has anyone done the install leaving the cd player in the factory spot or how about relocating the cd player and mounting the empeg in the factory spot.

Try this little ditty in the riocar.org FAQ to help you with your mp3 organization. It is a wealth of information. Also, try doing a search in the installations section of this BBS for anyone with YJ info.

There is no "best" way to organize your playlists. It is purely personal preference. I use the Artist > Album > Tunes structure.

You should look through this section of the FAQ for info on good tagging practices. Enjoy your new player when it comes!
