LTJBukem enthusiast Registered: 18/07/2001 Posts: 299	Hi All, It's been a long time since i've been to the board, so i think it need catch up with what is happening with V3 of the software. I'm running V2.00 final at the moment. Very nice thank you !! Shoud I upgrade to V3 ? Questions: - What features do i gain ? - Any downsides / problems i should be aware of ? - Can i use emplode v2.00. I read somewhere it wasn't working ? - Where do i get it ? Cross fade. Pitch bend. Any downsides / problems i should be aware of ? Database rebuilds do not work properly, so adding music to the player is an exercise in frustration. Can i use emplode v2.00. I read somewhere it wasn't working ? The emplode 2.10 that's meant to go with alpha3 has some problems and doesn't synch properly. In terms of the player crashing while running, seeking, skipping etc, 3.0a7 is very good. I haven't had a crash in a long time. However as Tony says, if you are looking for 100% stable then 2.00final is the option. Database rebuilds do not work properly, so adding music to the player is an exercise in frustration 3.0a7 rebuilds the DB OK. 3.0a5 was the problem child there. The emplode 2.10 that's meant to go with alpha3 has some problems and doesn't synch properly. So I think you're supposed to use 2.00. 2.10 certainly has a number of issues. brendanhoar enthusiast Registered: 09/06/2003 Posts: 297	My only complaint with 3.0a7 so far is the "start up the car and the empeg is not just pulsing-blue asleep but actually pulsing-blue catatonic, so a pull out, push in cycle is required" problem frequently... ...oh and the "push empeg into mlord dock, it starts up, goes to sleep and then plays music while in this initial asleep mode." problem. Neither of which is annoying. -brendan

I don't really use visuals that much - I tend to look at the road mostly while driving . The only ones I really use are the InfoText ones and they seem fine.
