I think hugo should resurrect TWoC, see if my old user account is still on it

I found the manual to ArcBBS the other day and chuckled over the dedication to his 3 cats.

Ahh, those were the days!

Arcade BBS is still online, still running Hugo's software, last compiled more than ten years ago!

telnet://arcade.demon.co.uk/

Ah, memories. I now have one ex Acorn and two ex ARM employees, a hardware contractor who designed half the podules in existance, and two more Acorn connected types due to come on board soon. Can't get away from it all!

I purchased a copy a while back. It's really good and well done, and the service is great. The author emailed all of us to make sure some defective dvds could be replaced, just to give you an idea.
It's publication was delayed, but it was worthed the wait. If you were in Fido/BBSs, you should buy the documentary

Well you are still in Cambridge, what did you expect? I imagine everybody Cambridge resident knows at least one person who worked for an Acorn related company...

I gave a lift to a gyu from Cambridge the other month. He was planning on creating an in-car mp3 player but some other guy he knew beat him to it so he didn't bother.

FWIW his design would have been much simpler and cheaper to produce apparently.

What, like all those experts on Slashdot that reckoned they could make an empeg killer out of an old Sony Walkman, a ZX81 and a rubber chicken ?
