Hijack v493 is now released.
  • various small fixes
  • gets rid of yet another leftover debug message from boot time
  • add's LittleBlueThing's new menu item "Boot Graphics", to be demonstrated at The Party in July.

Hijack v494 simply fixes some whitespace errors from v493.

If you haven't upgraded your Hijack in a while (or even if you have), then *now* is a good time to do so.

Cheers

Mike, thanks for your continued support of the empeg community. This little thing just won't die, and for that I am thankful.

My 250GB drive arrives today - woohoo! Time to retire that pair of noisy 30GB drives.

- Chris

Thanks Mark. Again the support that the Empeg gets is just unbelievable.

I just wish I had the funds to upgrade the HDs in both my Empegs at this time. Perhaps I'll go the CF route a bit further down the road....

if you load only ver. 2.01 of the player there ia a penguin waveing to you during boot, but if i then load hijack this goes away... is there a way to get the "stock" boot logo back?

That is because you, or a previous owner, has loaded a custom boot animation into the flash memory, and Hijack knows to look for that.

Use JEmplode to reset it back to default. Others here can probably help with this.

The waving penguin animation can be reloaded by downloading it from here ("original empeg 2.0 boot animation") and installing it with Jemplode.

Are you sure? I could have sworn that Hijack includes its own non-factory boot up animation. Didn't you sort of have a "contest" at some point, and Mike Schrag's animation is the one you decided to permanently include in Hijack by default?

Are you sure?

Check for yourself with the latest Hijack -- LittleBlueThing has contributed a Boot Graphics selection to the Hijack menu to show the boot animation as well as the built-in empeg animation.

Ancient history, I'm afraid.

No. Instead, simply run JEmplode, and select "Clear Animation" from the Tools -> Animation Editor sub-app.

Cheers
