So, a couple of times recently i have got into my car and the empeg has been on displaying something like, failed to unmask IDE. I think it must have been running since i last turned the car off. Not good for my battery...

Today i took the empeg out of the car for the first time in about 4 months, in order to put some more tunes on. When i plugged it in at home i noticed the HDD sounded quite noisy, like it had rough bearings or something.

The HDD seems otherwise fine, i've had no "No hard disk found contact support" messages since fixing the IDE cable when i first got the unit. No wait actually a couple of trips ago there were a couple of glitches in a number of songs, but i'm not 100% sure that they aren't encoding errors...

I think i got this unit well under a year ago, time for some attention under warrenty?
