I am proposing a dallas meet.

I completely missed the one in Austin and feel that I should not be punished by having to wait another year.

I propose we find a centralized area preferably a restraunt that has a large parking lot around. i.e. restraunt with a Best Buy around.

I think mebbe we could also try

i will call fox & hound to see what i need to do as far as reservations (just as a preemptive thing) we can all decide where we want to do this at as soon as we decide there is enough interest in a meet

As long as you pick a weekend that isn't booked up then I should be fine, only leave it a few weeks for my sunburn to go down.

As for English pubs, are you sure you want to do the Fox & Hounds, as most of the people I know tell me it sucks. We tend to hang round the Irish Rover up near Stonebriar Mall, or the Londoner in Addison (Hmmm, Old Speckled Hen )

Yes, I keep forgetting to mention that Ferretboy (Jeff) and Chimaera (I forgot your name) set the date and really got the Texas meet to happen, I only made the reservations locally. I propose someplace with cask ale that is not St Arnold's Brewey Cask Ale... But then again since it's 300 miles each way for me, I can't have more than 2 or 3 brews anyways

Oh yeah, that'd be another strike against you, jakobstone! Rob's New Year's Resolution was to make every empeg 03 meet. Which he will barring unforseen circumstances, or a Dallas meet. You'd never live it down if he makes every one but the impromtu meet because you missed Austin the meet.

I am already working with a friend on sticker ideas. I need ideas for a way to put empeg/riocar and dallas and/or Texas together. (the sticker will cost you nothing)

I was thinking a dallas skyline with empeg somehow infused.

None of those work for me, but honestly I don't think anything in the near future will, so I’ll probably not make this one. Besides, it is a rather long drive (though thanks to Rob that's a really weak excuse).

Seriously, I think at the moment you are too close to the Austin meet, maybe you should think about sometime in September, as it will give people enough time to avoid clashing appointments, and maybe even cool enough to stand outside and look at peoples installs.

12-13th no good for me, any other time is fine...

If we went with the holiday weekend, it's the perfect excuse for Rob to miss it, he'll be at the Amersfoot meet. Then we could imply it's a meet that spans the globe, and save his streak as well.
